Trin Youth Hostel

The Trin Youth Hostel not only offers cozy accommodation, but also stands for sustainability in practice: the rooms are made entirely of local wood, the heating runs on wood chips from the region and a large part of the electricity comes directly from the sun.

Vacations with a touch of mountain forest

Newly renovated, Trin Youth Hostel opened its doors in fall 2017. The 400-year-old building is primarily used as a base for mountain forest project weeks in the Trin/Flims region. However, thanks to the partnership with the Swiss Youth Hostels, unoccupied rooms are also open to guests - allowing different groups of guests to come together and make the youth hostel a place of lively exchange.

Nature & experiences on the doorstep

Whether hiking, swimming or winter sports: Trin Youth Hostel is the ideal starting point for discoveries in the region.

  • Ruinaulta (Rhine Gorge) with spectacular rock faces
  • Crestasee - the emerald-green mountain lake
  • Alp Mora and the high plateau
  • Flims/Laax/Falera for winter sports, Mountain biking and hiking

Rooms & facilities

Trin Youth Hostel offers various accommodation options - from double rooms to 8-bed rooms. Some rooms have an integrated bathroom, others have a shared bathroom and WC.
A particular highlight is the large ash-wood hall with panoramic views of the Surselva and Crap Sogn Gion. During the project season, it becomes a meeting place for guests of the youth hostel and volunteers of the Bergwaldprojekt.

Good to know

Every overnight stay at Trin Youth Hostel directly supports the Bergwaldprojekt. Guests thus support the care, protection and preservation of the mountain forest.
