Bergwaldprojekt International
The wide-ranging contexts of the mountain forest and an international audience from the very beginning show that the mountain forest idea knows no borders. As early as the 1990s, the idea was therefore brought from Switzerland to Germany and Austria, and later also to Catalonia. Each country acts independently, both organizationally and financially, in order to respond to local ecological conditions and enable cooperation with the local population. The organization now has around 8,000 volunteers every year and is one of the largest volunteer organizations with an ecological focus in Europe.
