Working with volunteers in the mountain forest costs money. The contributions from forest owners are not enough to cover all expenses. Most of the important work during the project weeks is financed by donations, contributions from patrons and legacies. In view of the growing challenges and society's increasing demands on the mountain forest, costs are also rising, making every donation and every hour of volunteer work more valuable than ever.

Organization, tools and vehicles as well as ensuring work safety, food and accommodation for the volunteers incur considerable costs. Donations to the Bergwaldprojekt directly support the work with volunteers and flow into projects for the care, protection and preservation of the mountain forest and its charitable services.

Recognition as a charitable organization by Zewo means that we are regularly checked to ensure that we use donations for their intended purpose, effectively and economically. Good to know: Our "Specht" magazine is published four times a year - with insights into current projects, exciting topics relating to the mountain forest and examples of what is possible thanks to the support of our donors and volunteers. A payment slip is enclosed with every mailing, which can be used at your own discretion - whether regularly or occasionally. Donations to the Bergwaldprojekt are tax-exempt. Donors automatically receive a donation receipt.
